The republic day parade held in Kolkata is one off its kind. It is no less than the parade in the capital. The parade in Kolkata is witnessed by hundreds of people from in and around Bengal. The crowd is very enthusiastic, and motivating. The parade begins from the historic Victoria Memorial and marches along the Red Road towards the great Eden Garden. The parade is flagged off at 9:a.m on 26th January by the C.M of West Bengal and the Governor. The parade begins with fly past of helicopter, followed by tabledus and marching contingents. Our school participated in both marching and cultural program. The marching contingent had 75 students of our school. The contingent was headed by Tamjid Khan. The cultural group had 75 students who danced on the very patriotic song 'Maa Tujhe Salaam'. Our cultural group won the runners-up trophy among all other cultural groups. In all the R.D parade was a thrilling and prestigious event. It gave us a nice experience that we would carry forward with us throughout our life.
